Raquel's passion for education began when she watched her own son struggle. Listening to doctors and therapists explain that he may never speak normally or learn in a traditional classroom, propelled her to become his advocate. She became an expert in early intervention programs, social-emotional learning, parent engagement & community advocacy. She took what she learned and promised to pay it forward by helping other families. She has experience implementing programs for ESL learners, children with special needs, and families affected by poverty. She is bilingual in Spanish and previously worked on-air for NBC.
